BURMA TEAK WOOD SEEDS .Burma Teak is a tropical hardwood species that is valued for its durability and water resistance.Burma Teak(Tectona grandis) is a large, deciduous tree of tropical forest. It has small , fragrant white flowers and papery large leaves that are hairy on the lower surface. Its leaves are ovate-elliptic to ovate, 15–45 cm (5.9–17.7 inch) long by 8–23 cm (3.1–9.1 inch) wide, and are held on robust petioles which are 2–4 cm (0.8–1.6 inch) long.Burma Teak Timber is particularly known for its durability , beautiful texture and water resistance. It is yellowish brown in colour with beautiful texture. It is mostly used in building construction , furniture and decorative wooden articles. It is very resistant to termite attack.Teak is valued for durability and water resistance and that’s why is used to make outdoor furniture. Its natural durability in extreme weather conditions means that some furniture will last for more than 50 years even if it is exposed to extreme weather. Teak (Tectona grandis) is considered one of the most valuable woods for plantations.HOW TO GROW: Generally the germination % for this plant is only 35%.Before sowing, understand the procedures well to maximise germination.Time Taken for initial Germination will be 15-30 days.
