The dome-shaped, low crown provides a very strong shade even at low sun positions. It is planted for Shade in avenues and also in pasture.*Flowerheads are clustered near the ends of twigs, each cluster on a green hairy stalk 7–10 cm long, with many small tubular flowers with greenish petals and dark pink stamens. Black, woody seed pods are oblong, flat, 20–25 cm long × 2 cm wide, each with several oblong, reddish-brown seeds around 1 cm long. HOW TO GROW:Pretreatment-Seeds are soaking in water for 24 hours.Pretreated seeds are sown in directly polybags.Germination is noticed within 15 to 20 days.* Early watering and provisions of shade is beneficial for seedlings and the growth of seedlings are very fast.Start with a mixture of agro peat, organic manure and soil in 20:20:60 ratio. It helps to increase water holding capacity of growing medium and also in easy penetration of roots. If good quality agro peat or manure is not available, you may use the available soil.*Now open the seed packet on a white sheet of paper, to avoid them from falling out. Insert the seeds into the prepared mixture to half inch of depth. Moisten the newly planted seeds only by sprinkling water.
